Texan Butchery — Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of the website texanbutchery.co.za (“Website”) and the purchase of meat and related products (“Products”) from Texan Butchery. By using the Website or placing an order you accept these Terms.

3. Ordering & Acceptance

• Orders may be placed via the Website or customer service channels.
• An order acknowledgement is not acceptance. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the Product or confirm in writing.
• We may refuse or cancel orders for stock, pricing errors, delivery limitations or suspicious activity.
• Corporate, catering and bulk/wild-game orders require written confirmation and may require a deposit.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken at order placement. Accepted orders retain the confirmed price. Corporate or special orders may require a non-refundable deposit.

5. Delivery & Collection

Deliveries serve designated zones listed on the Website. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery (physical possession); title transfers once payment is received. Inspect Products immediately and notify us within 24 hours of any issue.

6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Returns are accepted only for Products that are damaged, defective, or incorrect and must be reported within 24 hours with photographic evidence. Custom cuts, bulk packs, special-order wild game, corporate and catering orders cannot be cancelled after processing has begun. Refunds or replacements are at Texan Butchery’s discretion.

7. Corporate Orders, Event Catering & Bulk Supply

Bulk and catering orders require written acceptance, lead times, and may be subject to final weight adjustments. Texan Butchery is not responsible for third-party caterers engaged by the customer.

8. Wild Game & Special Orders

Wild-game availability is seasonal and subject to regulatory compliance. Products may vary naturally in size and weight; invoices may be adjusted to reflect final weight.

9. Product Handling & Food Safety

Refrigerate or freeze Products immediately on receipt. Texan Butchery is not liable for spoilage resulting from improper storage, handling or cooking by the customer. Check ingredient/allergen details before purchase.

10. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All website content, images and branding are Texan Butchery property or licensed. Use for personal non-commercial purposes only. Automated scraping or unlawful use is prohibited.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and POPIA. Order data is used to fulfil orders, communicate about orders, and, with consent, for marketing.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the Products. We exclude indirect or consequential losses where permitted by law. These Terms do not limit rights under South African consumer-protection laws.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our control (e.g., strikes, natural disasters, supply interruptions).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and disputes fall under South African courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms; the latest version is published on the Website. Continued use indicates acceptance of revisions.
